URCS discusses strategy for development of mobile medical teams

The strategy for the development of mobile medical teams of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) in 2024-2025 is being discussed.

“Today a two-day working meeting of the Mobile Medical Teams direction of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society began. The main goal of the meeting is to discuss the strategy for the activities of mobile medical teams in 2024-2025, the features of its implementation, prospects for the development of this area and assistance to the health care system,” the URCS reported on Facebook on Wednesday.

In addition, the agenda of the event includes issues of interaction between mobile medical teams and government health authorities, features and improvement of their logistics capabilities, introduction of modern world practices and technologies into the activities of teams, such as mobile medical teams for rapid response to emergencies, the introduction of telemedicine.

The meeting participants will also discuss the interaction of mobile medical teams with other areas of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society to provide more comprehensive and effective humanitarian assistance to those in need. There will also be a focus on sharing experience between regional mobile health teams and the challenges they face in providing primary health care and responding to emergencies.

Currently, 127 mobile medical teams operate in 22 regions of Ukraine. Mobile medical teams are teams that travel to remote settlements and provide primary medical care to their residents. For more than a year of its existence, URCS mobile medical teams have provided more than half a million consultations.
