President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Belgium for joining the fighter coalition.

"Thank you for involving Belgian specialists in the training of Ukrainian pilots and in the training of our Ukrainian technical personnel. And it is crucial that today there is a decision by Belgium about its readiness to provide Ukraine with F-16 fighters and in 2025 aircraft will be supplied specifically from Belgium," he said on Wednesday at a press conference in Brussels after negotiations with Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo.

Zelenskyy said "our recently created IT coalition is gradually developing, Belgium has joined this coalition, I am confident that our joint work will make it possible to more effectively counter Russian threats and strengthen the interaction of Ukrainian units on the battlefield."

Belgium, he said, is working to implement several points of the Peace Formula. "Belgium supports our state in both directions – integration into the EU and NATO. We appreciate this highly. Today, judging by the content of our work here with all partners, by the mood of our partners, we can obviously say that it is felt that Ukraine will one day be a full member of both the European Union and NATO," Zelenskyy said.
