Zelenskyy: Wars in Ukraine, Israel are wars against one evil

The wars in Ukraine and Israel are wars against one evil, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, speaking via video link on Monday at a session of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

"No one will ever be able to forget what the terrorists did in Israel... Thousands of missiles against peaceful cities. Shootings of people right in their cars on the roads... Men and women, children... No one was spared. Streets covered in blood. Hostages," he said.

"And the Israelis themselves – the Israeli journalists who visited us, in Ukraine, in Bucha – now say that they saw the same evil where Russia came... The same evil, and only one difference – there is a terrorist organization that struck According to Israel, here is a terrorist state that struck Ukraine. The intentions are different, but the essence is the same," Zelenskyy said.

He recalled the "shocking joy of Russian propagandists" in calling "trophies" the children whom terrorists are now holding hostage in Gaza.

Zelenskyy also said "Iran cannot say that it has nothing in common with what is happening in Ukraine if it sells suicide bombs to Russia. Iran cannot say that it has nothing to do with what is happening in Israel if its officials say they support what is happening in Israel."

"Our unity with you must and can stop evil. Our desire for peace, and not their desire for blood, should determine how the world should live," he said.

"Europe needs to be active. The United States needs to be proactive. China. India and the Arab states should feel how much can break if terrorists are allowed to achieve their goals," the Ukrainian president said.

"All areas of our cooperation lead to one thing - for the UN Charter to work for the complete protection of Ukraine and our entire Europe from terror and aggression. And if it works here, it will work anywhere in the world," Zelenskyy said.
