Zelenskyy: We're preparing for important talks with Ursula von der Leyen
Ukraine is preparing for important talks with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said on Thursday, adding that the priority topics would be energy and the front.
"Today, as the winter season is coming and in general especially this important autumn, we have a lot of questions that have a critical impact on Ukraine and the life of our people. Of course, energy is a vital priority. The front is an unchanged priority. These are supplies and modern weapons production," he said in a video statement.
The head of state also noted that the process of negotiating Ukraine's accession to the EU should be active in order to strengthen the entire European system.
"There can be no doubt about the strength of the European project," he said.
Zelenskyy also said that a mechanism of sending immobilized Russian assets in the amount of EUR 50 billion to Ukraine is necessary.
"So that we can feel in the near future that Ukraine has git such a support," he said.
