Zelenskyy discusses Ukraine's defense needs, development of military-industrial complex with Lithuanian Defense Minister
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed Ukraine's priority defense needs and further assistance from Lithuania, primarily in air defense systems, unmanned aerial vehicles and other critical assets, with Minister of National Defense of Lithuania Laurynas Kasčiūnas, who is on a visit to Ukraine.
As reported on the website of the head of the Ukrainian state on Tuesday, special attention during the meeting was paid to common steps for the development of the defense-industrial complex of Ukraine.
Zelenskyy thanked Kasčiūnas for Lithuania's effective support for Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration, as well as for its comprehensive political support and important contribution to strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities in the face of Russian aggression. "We are grateful to Lithuania and your people for the support from the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion. And we hope that you will stay with us until its end and our victory. This is very important for us," Zelenskyy said.
