Zelenskyy visits Ireland on his way to Ukraine, meets with PM Harris
During the meeting, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris discussed further cooperation, in particular in the implementation of the decisions of the Peace Summit and in the return of Ukrainian children illegally deported to Russia.
“On my way to Ukraine, I met with Ireland’s Taoiseach Simon Harris,” the President said on X Saturday.
Zelenskyy said that he and the Irish Prime Minister discussed support for Ukraine, continued cooperation in mine clearance and cybersecurity. “We also talked about the next steps to implement the decisions based on the outcomes of the Peace Summit and discussed the efforts needed to increase global attention to the issue of children illegally deported by Russia,” the President added.
“I thank Ireland for supporting the Peace Summit in Switzerland and the Taoiseach for his strong personal attention and commitment to the efforts to bring the children home,” Zelenskyy stressed.
