In North Korea, Putin to negotiate to increase volume of arms supplies to Russia – Budanov
The Russian Federation intends to negotiate with the DPRK on increasing the volume of arms supplies, the greatest need for ammunition, said Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Agency (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
In an interview broadcast on the telethon on Tuesday, answering the question of what Russian President Vladimir Putin will negotiate during his expected visit to the DPRK, Budanov said: "About increasing the volume of arms supplies to the Russian Federation, first of all. And deepening the relationship."
This, in particular, concerns cooperation on missile technologies.
"The Russian Federation thinks that it is normal to transfer certain missile technologies to the DPRK. This is their vision. The DPRK will do a lot for these technologies. The human resource there is serious, and the defense capabilities, unfortunately, are not comparable with the Russian Federation. They can and do work much more efficiently and work more than Russians. Therefore, there will definitely be an increase in the supply, primarily of artillery weapons,” Budanov said.
He recalled that the enemy's use of ammunition from the DPRK began back in 2023.
Answering the question of what is missing, first of all, for the occupiers in weapons, the head of intelligence said that they lack ammunition.
"The problem is the same as ours -ammunition. This is the number one need," he said.
