Russia, Belarus excluded from European Conference of Postal, Telecommunications Administrations

At the suggestion of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine, Russia and Belarus were excluded from the European Conference of Postal and Telecommunications Administrations (CERT).

"From today, the membership of the accomplices of aggression in this organization has been suspended. Some 34 participating states have supported Ukraine in this difficult time for us!"

The department said the result of encroachment on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine, as well as attacks on Ukrainian facilities, including telecommunications and television infrastructure, is the complete loss of support by the occupier and its isolation from the civilized world.

The main task of the SEPT regional organization is to consider issues related to the fields of mail and telecommunications, including the use of the radio frequency spectrum within Europe.
