Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said that the draft Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union does not contain any provisions that would hinder the expansion of Ukraine's cooperation with Customs Union and CIS countries.

"The Association Agreement does not contain any provisions that would hinder our plans to expand cooperation with the Customs Union and the CIS countries, as well as with other partners outside the EU," he said, while opening a government meeting on Wednesday.

Azarov said that the signing of the Association Agreement would give an impetus to the modernization of the Ukrainian economy, which in turn will open up new prospects for the intensification of Ukraine's cooperation with Customs Union and CIS countries.

Azarov also said that he had approved the schedule of the consideration at government meetings of Customs Union agreements, to which Ukraine could accede.

He said that he had instructed the Economic Development and Trade Ministry to coordinate work on the harmonization of the Ukrainian economy during the creation of a free trade area with the EU and the conditions used in the Customs Union.
