In Tavriyske direction, Russian troops have reduced aviation activity over the past day – they carried out only two airstrikes, but conducted 42 combat clashes and carried out 1,040 shellings, said Oleksandr Tarnavsky, commander of Tavria operational-strategic group of forces.

"In the operational area of the Tavria operational-strategic group of forces, the enemy has reduced aviation activity over the past day - inflicted only two airstrikes, but conducted 42 combat clashes and carried out 1,040 shellings," Tarnavsky said on the Telegram channel on Tuesday.

According to him, "in Zaporizhia direction and in Donetsk region, the Russians resumed the use of toxic substances: four drops of grenades with a tear-choking chemical were recorded."

"In Avdiyivka direction, the enemy is again attempting offensive actions with small assault groups - here our defenders repulsed nine attacks at Lastochkyne, Pivnichne, Pervomaiske and Nevelske," informs the commander.

"In Maryinka direction, we continue to restrain the aggressor near Heorhiyivka, Peremoha, Novomykhailivka, where 21 attacks were repelled. In Novopavlivsk direction, the enemy tried to attack one time in the area of the settlement of Staromayorske. There were also no significant changes in Zaporizhia direction - the Defense Forces repelled 11 attacks by invaders at Malynivka and Robotyne," Tarnavsky said.

According to him, "the situation remains under control, the Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the defense and actively destroying the enemy." According to Tarnavsky, the total losses of Russians over the past day amounted to: 644 people in manpower, 47 units in weapons and military equipment, not counting UAVs. In particular, these are two tanks, 29 armored combat vehicles, eight artillery systems, eight cars. Some 272 UAVs of various types were neutralized or destroyed. The Ukrainian Defense Forces also destroyed two ammunition depots, one fuel and lubricants warehouse and one more important enemy facility.
