European Parliament approves mandate for talks with EU Council, Commission to create EUR 50 bln four-year Ukraine Fund
The European Parliament has approved a mandate for tripartite negotiations – with the Council of the EU and the European Commission regarding the creation of a Fund for Ukraine in the amount of EUR 50 billion for the period from 2024 to 2027.
The corresponding decision was voted on Tuesday in Strasbourg during a plenary meeting of the European Parliament.
Next, three European institutions - the European Parliament, the Commission and the Council of the EU will hold negotiations on amendments initiated by the EP deputies to the previously published proposal of the European Commission.
Next, the draft resolution will be put to a vote in the European Parliament.
