Yermak, Sullivan discuss strengthening protection of critical infrastructure, ensuring energy security of Ukraine

Andriy Yermak, Head of the President's Office of Ukraine, had a telephone conversation with U.S. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan.

"Had a telephone conversation with U.S. National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan. We continued to consider the issue of strengthening the protection of critical infrastructure and ensuring Ukraine's energy security," Yermak wrote on his Telegram channel.

Yermak briefed Sullivan on the current situation in Donbas and the tasks facing the Ukrainian Defense Forces. He noted the importance of providing the Ukrainian army with weapons and equipment for an effective response to the actions of the Russian Federation.

The parties also separately discussed the extension of sanctions pressure on the aggressor state.

"I spoke about Ukraine's desire to hold a summit on sanctions in February," the head of the President's Office said.

The parties also discussed Zelensky's peace formula, then Yermak expressed gratitude to President Joe Biden, both houses of the U.S. Congress and the entire American people for supporting Ukraine.
