Seven civilians killed in Donetsk region in 24 hours – police

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops killed seven civilians in Donetsk region, 5 people were wounded, including a child and two police officers, the National Police of Ukraine has reported.

"During the day, Russian troops killed 7 civilians in Donetsk region. 5 people were injured, including a child and two police officers… The Russian Federation continues to shoot civilians in Donbas. Over the past 24 hours, 12 people were injured as a result of shelling by the occupiers. Among the dead, according to preliminary data, are three children," the National Police said in its Telegram channel.

According to the police, 23 objects were damaged as a result of shelling. "The enemy covered a maternity hospital, two schools, a hostel, a grocery store, and residential buildings with fire. Mariupol, Manhush, Volnovakha district, as well as settlements in the Avdiyivka and Toretsk directions were subjected to more shelling," the police said.

The police opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 (violation of rules of the warfare) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
