Ukraine registers record number of 10,842 COVID-19 cases per day – Stepanov

As of Tuesday morning, a new record of 10,842 cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) disease were registered, some 5,514 people recovered, some 191 patients died, Health Minister of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov has said.

"Over the past day in Ukraine, some 10,842 new cases of COVID-19 disease were recorded (of which 410 children and 445 medical workers). Over the past day, some 1,252 people were hospitalized; some 191 people died; some 5,514 people recovered," Stepanov said on his Facebook page on Tuesday morning.

A day earlier, on November 9, some 8,687 new cases of COVID-19 infection were recorded in Ukraine, on November 8 there were 9,397 new cases; on November 7, some 10,746 new cases were recorded; on November 6, there were 9,721 cases and on November 5, there were 9,850 new cases.

The number of infected people since the beginning of the pandemic on Tuesday morning was 479,197 people, some 8,756 people died from COVID-19, and some 214,657 people recovered.

Over the past day, the largest number of confirmed cases were registered in Kyiv (747), Zhytomyr (646), Kyiv (628), Odesa (608) and Zaporizhia (588) regions.
