Ukrainian Foreign Ministry expects law enforcement officers to assess political agitation of Hungarian officials in Zakarpattia

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has said that it has repeatedly recorded signs of political agitation by Hungarian civil servants who visit Zakarpattia region, and has asked law enforcement officers to give a legal assessment of these actions.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacts to each such fact within the limits of its authority, diplomatically warning the Hungarian side against violating the electoral legislation of Ukraine and attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of our state. The neglect of the official appeals of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine only proves that the Hungarian side has a hidden goal, which is unacceptable in interstate relations," said in the commentary released by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on Tuesday.

"In this regard, the Foreign Ministry appealed to the relevant law enforcement agencies to assess the actions of Hungarian officials," the ministry said.
