All victims of road accident in Mykolaiv region are Belarus citizens

The police have found that all people who have been killed and injured in an accident near the village of Kryve Ozero in Mykolaiv region on Friday morning are citizens of the Republic of Belarus.

"Investigators have identified the identities of citizens who were killed and injured during a traffic accident that happened today at about 5:00, on July 20, on the 289th kilometer of the Kyiv-Odesa highway near Kryve Ozero village of Mykolaiv region. All of them are citizens of the Republic of Belarus," the press service of the regional police said on Friday.

The Main Directorate of the National Police in Mykolaiv region arranged a hotline enabling relatives to call and check if their relatives are on the list of those injured by phone: +38 (0512) 53 1113.

The police investigators also informed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine about the accident.

In his turn, press secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Anatoly Glaz told the Interfax-West agency that "the Embassy of Belarus in Ukraine is working in close contact with local authorities and police." "All the necessary measures are being taken," he added.

As reported, in the morning on this day, there was an accident in Mykolaiv region on the Kyiv-Odesa highway, as a result of which five people were killed and 12 more were hospitalized.
