Poroshenko starts official visit to Slovenia

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has started his first official visit to the Republic of Slovenia at the invitation of this country's president, Borut Pahor, the Ukrainian leader's press service reported.

The visit program includes Poroshenko's talks with Pahor, which are expected to result in the signing of several bilateral documents.

"Petro Poroshenko will hold meetings with Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia Miroslav Cerar and Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia Milan Brglez. The Ukrainian president and the first lady are also scheduled to meet with Mayor of Ljubljana Zoran Jankovic," the report says.

In addition, the Ukrainian president is scheduled to meet with heads of leading Slovenian companies, including those operating on the Ukrainian market.

"Poroshenko will also speak with the Ukrainian community and take part in the unveiling of a monument to Hryhoriy Skovoroda in Ljubljana," the presidential press service said.
