Ukrainian PM discusses intensification of cooperation with new Polish ambassador to Ukraine
Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has met Polish Ambassador to Ukraine Jan Pieklo who recently began his diplomatic mission in the country.
The press service of the Ukrainian government has reported, Groysman congratulated the Polish ambassador with the start of his work in Ukraine.
"I would like that the result of our work was the national rapprochement of our countries and deepening of our cooperation," he said.
The prime minister said that Poland is a strategic partner of Ukraine.
"Many years traditionally relations of our two countries are friendly and strategic not only at the national level, but at the local one. I think that our common task is to deepen this cooperation and realize all potential opportunities," Groysman said.
He said that during the 26th Economic Forum in Krynica-Zdroj in September he held negotiations with Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo/
Groysman also said that a meeting of the intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation should be held.
The interlocutors pointed out promising and strategically important cooperation between Ukraine and Poland in many spheres, including trade, economic, infrastructure and transborder cooperation.
"We have many tasks. I hope that we would be able to effectively use the tools we have to deepen this cooperation. Investment, business, cultural exchanges and trade relations – all these we should use by 100%," Groysman said.
