Ukraine to join NATO's arms procurement network
Ukraine is set to join the NATO arms procurement network soon, according to the National Security and Defense Council's Interdepartmental Commission for Military-Technological Cooperation Policy and Exports Control head Oleh Hladkivsky.
The issue was discussed at the Kyiv meeting of the Ukraine-NATO joint working group on Thursday. The meeting was dedicated to the current status and prospects of military-technological cooperation between Ukraine and NATO, Hladkivsky told reporters.
"We have discussed the possibility of Ukraine's affiliation with the global information platform of NATO member countries, where partners can offer and require armament systems. Hopefully, Ukraine will join this project soon," he said.
In the opinion of the commission head, Ukrainian accession to the NATO arms procurement system will bring military-technological cooperation with NATO members to a whole new level.
"We will have a new level of communication regarding the capacities of Ukrainian [arms] makers and multinational companies with which NATO countries are interacting," he said.
