Ukraine ready to mirror Russia's restrictions in trade if introduced - Yatseniuk

Ukraine will lose $7 billion in trade with Russia if the latter introduces restrictive measures against Ukrainian goods, but in such case Kyiv is ready to mirror them, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said.

"Yes, we will introduce customs duties, we expect that they will impose restrictive measures. Under this scenario, we will lose $7 billion as the result of the decline in trade with Russia," he said on Shuster live talk show on Friday night.

According to him, Ukraine may offset some of these losses through the ban on the sale of Russian goods in Ukraine, the access of Ukrainian products to the EU market, and maintaining trade with CIS countries.

Yatseniuk predicted that Russia would continue to push the Ukrainian goods from its market, but would not be able to do away with those, which it cannot replace.
