Lutsk roads cleared of fallen trees after downpour, traffic restored, says Emergencies Service
Road traffic through the streets of Lutsk, which were flooded after heavy rain on July 30, has been restored.
As of 0700, fallen trees were cleared away from Drahomanova, Sobornosti, Karpenko-Karoho, Kivertsivska and Naberezhna streets, the press service of the State Service of Emergency Situations of Ukraine reported.
Water has been pumped out of the basements of houses, territories of hospitals, and schools. The cleanup continues in the city.
A heavy downpour and hail began in Lutsk at around 1600 on July 30. The rain flooded roads and the basements of many residential houses and offices. No one was hurt as a result of the rainstorm.
