The Russian occupation forces continue to exert pressure along almost the entire front line, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has said, adding that the enemy was most active in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove axes, where 20 and 17 combat clashed have been repelled since the beginning of the day, respectively.

"The enemy continues to conduct its active offensive operations, trying to break through the defense of our troops. The enemy applies its main efforts to the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove axes. […] A total of 99 combat clashes have occurred since the beginning of the day," it said in the updates as of 6 p.m. on Facebook.

In the Kharkiv direction, the Russian occupiers stormed the Ukrainian defense positions four times in the areas of Hlyboke and Vovchansk. However, they suffered losses and retreated.

In the Kupyansk direction, the Russian forces made three active assault attempts on the AFU in the vicinity of Stelmakhivka and Pischane. In the Lyman direction, the occupiers conducted eight assault operations in the areas of Nevske, Makiyivk, and Terny. Six combat clashes ended with no success for the adversary, while another two are ongoing.

"The enemy has been active in the Siversky direction. The defenders of the Ukrainian land repelled two attacks near Ivanodaryivka, Spirne, and Pereyizne, and four attempts to advance were not successful for the adversary. The situation is under control," the General Staff said.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the occupation forces carried out four assaults on the Ukrainian positions in the vicinity of Chasiv Yar, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Klischiyivka, and Hryhorivka. Two of them are ongoing.

"In the Toretsk direction, the number of enemy attacks has increased to twelve since the beginning of the day. The enemy focused its efforts on the areas of Pivnichne, Zalizne, and New York. Ukrainian fighters repelled eight attacks, and the rest are ongoing," it said.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the largest number of combat clashes was recorded, as usual recently.

"Today, the occupiers, covered by bomber and attack aircraft, have carried out 36 attempts to push our defenders out of their positions in the areas of ten various settlements. The enemy was most active in the vicinity of Prohres, Novooleksandrivka, Tymofiyivka, and Zhelanne. The defense forces are holding the line and have repelled 20 enemy attacks. Sixteen battles are ongoing," the General Staff said.

There were combat clashes near Kostiantynivka, Antonivka, and Parakoviyivka in the Kurakhove direction. Seventeen enemy assaults were repelled as of today.

In the Vremivka direction, the AFU repelled an enemy assault in the vicinity of Velyka Novosilka. Five battles are still ongoing in the areas of Kostiantynivka and Vodiane.

In the Orikhiv direction, the invaders carried out three attempts to advance in the vicinity of Mala Tokmachnka, but were badly repulsed.
