Ukraine and the Czech Republic signed a number of agreements and memorandums in the field of internal affairs, healthcare, energy, defense and space industries based on the results of intergovernmental consultations.

In particular, on Tuesday, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal and Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala signed a joint statement in Prague on the results of intergovernmental consultations.

The interior ministers of both countries also signed an agreement on cooperation between the police authorities, and the health ministers of the countries signed a memorandum of understanding between the departments.

In addition, the Minister of Industry of the Czech Republic and the Minister of Energy of Ukraine signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the field of energy, and the Minister of Transport of the Czech Republic and the director of the Ukrainian Space Agency signed a memorandum of understanding and cooperation in the development of technologies in the space industry.

A memorandum of cooperation was also signed between the State Property Fund of Ukraine and the Authorized Office of the Czech Republic for Property Issues, and several memorandums of cooperation were signed between Czech and Ukrainian defense companies.

As the press service of the Ukrainian government later reported, an agreement was signed with the Czech arms company Sellier & Bellot on the construction of a new cartridge factory in Ukraine; an agreement with Colt CZ Group to produce assault rifles; Ukrainian-Czech agreement on joint fight against crime; a memorandum of cooperation in the energy sector, including the transportation of oil through the Southern Friendship oil pipeline and cooperation in the field of hydrogen energy, decentralization of the energy system, and restoration of energy infrastructure.

The ministers also signed a memorandum between the State Property Fund of Ukraine and the Czech relevant department on the exchange of best practices, in particular, on the creation of a register of administrative buildings and a memorandum on cooperation in medicine, on assistance in the construction of rehabilitation centers, restoration of medical infrastructure, equipping Ukrainian hospitals, attracting Czech specialists to prosthetics Ukrainian military.
