President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the location of the 110th separate mechanized brigade named after Cornet General Mark Bezruchko during a working trip to Donetsk region.

The Head of State heard reports from Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky, Commander of the Joint Forces Andriy Hnatov, Deputy Commander of the 110th separate mechanized brigade and commanders of the 31st and 47th separate mechanized brigades, who are fighting on neighboring defense lines.

The President was informed about the operational situation in Pokrovske direction, in the sections of responsibility of the brigades and informed about the intentions of the Russian occupiers.

In particular, Dmytro Bily, deputy commander of the 110th brigade, said that Russian troops carry out from 15 to more than 30 assaults per day and the fighting in Pokrovske direction is the most intense. He also informed the President about the unit's priority needs.

The Head of state talked with the soldiers of the units and marked them with state awards, his press service reported.

"I have the honor to be here today and thank you for protecting our state, thank your brothers who are not here now, from all of us, from all the people of Ukraine. Take care of yourself. To your family and friends - health and strength. Thank you for what you do every day to ensure that Ukrainians have Ukraine," he said.

The President awarded two defenders with the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky of the III degree, one with the Order of Courage of the II degree and two more with the Order of Courage of the III degree, and Colonel Yan Yatsyshin, who is acting commander of the 47th brigade, received the Cross of Military Merit.
