Zelenskyy about EP election: Radical pro-Russian slogans pose threat to EU countries

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said, when speaking about the European Parliament elections, that radical pro-Russian slogans posed and will continue to pose the biggest threat to the European voters.

The very essence of democracy is in "Europeans electing a state, a leader they want," he emphasized during a joint press conference with Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz in Berlin on Tuesday.

"But I think the most important thing is that when making their choice people do not just vote for some pro-Russian populist slogans. I think this is dangerous. Because this is dangerous not for Ukraine. We are already in the most dangerous situation: we are in war. The radical pro-Russian slogans also pose threat to your own countries," Zelenskyy said.

As reported, the European Parliament election was held on June 6-9. According to their results, the European People's Party retained the largest representation in the European Parliament.
