Kostin discusses with US Assistant Attorney General for National Security strengthening of partnership with European colleagues
As part of his working visit to the United States, Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andriy Kostin has held a meeting with Assistant U.S. Attorney General for National Security Matthew Olsen.
“My working visit to the United States commenced with a productive meeting with Matthew G. Olsen, Assistant Attorney General for National Security. We discussed cooperation within the framework of the Disruptive Technology Strike Force and Task Force KleptoCapture, as well as strengthening our partnership with European counterparts,” Kostin said on X Thursday.
He stressed that the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine (PGO) is ready to provide all necessary information to promote Ukrainian and American joint initiatives aimed at stopping the illegal export of technologies and dual-use goods to the Russian Federation, as well as ensuring the freezing and confiscation of Russian assets related to the financing of aggression.
“The United States' decisive enforcement of sanctions and export controls is commendable, and it's imperative that we intensify these measures to completely block the supply of Western technologies to the aggressor state and cut off the resources that enable the continuation of hostilities,” Kostin noted.
He thanked Olsen and colleagues for their unwavering support for Ukraine and steadfast commitment to the principles of justice and the rule of law.
