Polish strikers start more severely restricting movement of vehicles on border with Ukraine – service

Polish protesting farmers have started stricter restrictions on vehicle traffic on the border with Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine said.

"Polish farmers completely blocked the movement of trucks through the Medyka-Shehyni checkpoint. The deadline for completing this blocking was not announced," the State Border Guard Service said on its Telegram channel on Tuesday.

As the State Border Guard Service said, near Dolhobychuv-Uhryniv checkpoint, protesters plan to block traffic for all types of transport until 17.00 on February 20.

"At Zosyn-Ustyluh checkpoint from 13.00 to 16.00, protesters intend to restrict the movement of buses, trucks and cars in both directions. They promise to allow only trucks with humanitarian aid through," the service said in a statement.

At Korczowa-Krakovets checkpoint: "Until 21.00 on February 20, protesters plan to block the movement of trucks leaving Poland, except for those transporting critical cargo. At the same time, buses, minibuses, and cars in both directions will be able to move unhindered."

According to the State Border Guard Service, at Hrebenne-Rava-Ruska checkpoint, "protesters from 13.00 on February 20 completely blocked traffic in both directions of all categories of vehicles, except for those carrying critical cargo and humanitarian aid."

At Dorohusk-Yahodyn checkpoint until 19.00, the protest organizers intend to completely block the movement of trucks in both directions.
