"As for Avdiivka itself, where the front line is very dynamic and our units are maneuvering to retreat in some places to more advantageous positions, and in others to recapture positions, the key message on this is that supply to Avdiivka and evacuation is complicated, but a reserve is used a logistics artery that was prepared in advance," Lykhoviy said during the telethon.

He said the enemy wants to go west of Avdiivka coke plant, where Ukrainian forces are giving a worthy rebuff.

"Each unit knows its maneuver, each has its own task, the general picture of events is visible, backup options for the development of events and the conduct of combat operations are provided, depending on the situation, which is dynamic," Lykhoviy said.
