In April 2023, Italy will organize a conference with the involvement of its own business companies on the issues of restoring Ukraine, Italian Prime Minister Giorgi Meloni has said.

"Today we talked about the post-war reconstruction [of Ukraine] and about the Rapid Recovery Plan, that is, about the restoration now... [Ukraine] recovery conference will be organized in Italy in April this year. We will work on its organization. Italian companies have know-how and competence that we are ready to provide, as Italy is striving to play a significant role in the process of rebuilding Ukraine – starting today," Meloni said at a press conference with the President of Ukraine in Kyiv.

She said Italy can do a lot in this context, as it has tremendous experience in many strategic areas such as infrastructure, transport, energy, agriculture, food, and others.

"Our know-how will be able to give the opportunity and the right signal: what was destroyed will be restored," the Italian Prime Minister said.

In addition, according to her, the holding of the international exhibition EXPO-2030 in Odesa, where Ukraine has applied, would be a special signal for Europe, namely: "Believing that everything will be fine in Ukraine."

A Meloni noted, Italy is already providing support and assistance to Ukraine in the field of protecting cultural heritage.
