Vereschuk: Belarusians must find strength to resist orders of Lukashenko, Putin

Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereschuk believes that Belarusians must find the strength to resist the orders of Alexander Lukashenko.

"The dictatorship of power that exists there can lead to the fact that the country is used as a training ground, and its population as a manpower. But we know for sure that the Belarusians do not want to attack, as they understand that we will be forced to kill them. And here in front of them there is a dilemma: are they ready to get rid of the influence of their dictator Lukashenko and find the strength to resist his criminal orders?" Vereschuk was cited by the ministry's press service with reference to an interview with Polish TVP World.

She said that certain interdepartmental ties between the two countries now exist.

"For example, I am the chairman of the intergovernmental commission of Ukraine and Belarus. But we cannot conduct a full-fledged dialogue on economic and political subjects, since there are many threats from that side. Russia carried out the anschluss of Belarus and, unfortunately, Putin decides everything there," Vereschuk said.
