Last night in Kharkiv passed relatively calmly, but enemy missile fire began in the morning, there are casualties, Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Head Oleh Synehubov has said.

"According to the information of the General Staff, for the first time in 23 days of a large-scale invasion of Russia from midnight to 4 a.m., the enemy did not fire at the city. But already in the morning, several missiles hit an educational institution, unfortunately, there are victims," Synehubov wrote on his Telegram channel.

He also said that the rescuers managed to localize a large-scale fire in the largest market Barabashovo, which the invaders fired at on March 16.

Synehubov also noted that there were casualties among the civilian population as a result of the shelling of Merefa, the difficult situation in Izium, Balakliya, Lyptsi, Tsyrkuny, Kupiansk, Vovchansk. Viktor Tereschenko, head of the Velyky Burluk community, is in Russian captivity.

According to Synehubov, the Armed Forces of Ukraine firmly hold their positions and repel enemy offensive attempts.

"There were attempts from Russia to attack, including with the use of stun grenades. But our Armed Forces repel all attempts to attack. They also receive new replenishment of ammunition, we have something to wipe the enemy from Kharkiv land! The Armed Forces of Ukraine partially destroyed and stopped the advancement deep into Ukraine of units of the 437th training and the 26th tank regiments of the Russian armed forces. The invaders were moving in the direction of Kamianka, the losses of the enemy are being specified, there are no losses on our side," Synehubov wrote.
