Reznikov to become Kuchma's deputy in TCG, reps of respective Ukrainian ministries and deputies also to be members of TCG – Yermak

Head of the President's Office Andriy Yermak has reported that Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories Oleksiy Reznikov will be Deputy Head of the Ukraine's Delegation in Trilateral Contact Group, while the representatives of the respective Ukrainian ministries and parliamentarians will become members of the TCG working subgroups.

"Today it is very important to give the Minsk process a new impetus, and Ukraine is doing this. Today we took the initiative to increase the level of representation of delegations in Minsk in the Tripartite Contact Group. That is, now, along with the head of our delegation, Mr. Kuchma, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Mr. Reznikov become his deputy, and we also add representatives of the respective ministries in each subgroup at a level no lower than the deputy minister, we also add representatives of the parliament. Thus, several heads of the relevant committees will also be engaged in this work," he said during an online discussion "Pandemic, Reform, War and Peace as Seen by the White House" organized by the Atlantic Council on Monday.

Yermak stressed that the Ukrainian party was doing its best to implement the agreements of the December summit of Normandy Four leaders.

"Unfortunately, I have to tell you that many of these agreements have not yet been implemented. Of course, there is a progress. Today we released 131 people from captivity. But they continue to shoot, the demining program has not been completed, the Red Cross is still not allowed and without this, it's impossible to effectively continue to search for all our people in uncontrolled territory. And still, three new places for disengagement (of forces and means) have not been agreed upon," he said.

Yermak also said that on behalf of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, he has invited representatives of the other three countries that are participants in the Normandy format to join and personally come to Minsk to see what is happening there and why the agreements are not being implemented.
