European Commission proposes extension of sanctions against Russia over Crimea until 2020

The European Commission proposes that sanctions against Russia for the annexation of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol be extended until June 23, 2020, Bloomberg reported on Monday with reference to an internal EU document.
The EU "does not recognize and continues to condemn the illegal annexation of the Crimea and Sevastopol," the agency said.
