Voter turnout at Ukraine's presidential election at 16.08% as of 11:00 - CEC website

Voter turnout at the presidential election in Ukraine as of 11:00 on Sunday was 16.08%, according to data from 81 districts, Ukraine's Central Election Commission (CEC) reported on its website.

The data on voter turnout came from 81 electoral districts throughout Ukraine, with the exception of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. The total number of electoral districts is 199.

Voter turnout in Vinnytsia region stood at 11.37%, in Volyn region at 14.46%, in Dnipropetrovsk region at 18.98%, in Donetsk region at 15.88%, in Zhytomyr region at 16.51%, in Zakarpattia region at 21.1%, in Ivano-Frankivsk region at 10.7%, in Kyiv region at 16.33%, in Kirovohrad region at 21.62%, in Luhansk region at 19.51%, and in Lviv region at 12.59%.

The first round of the presidential election has drawn a voter turnout of 13.57% in Odesa region, 19.56% in Poltava region, 13.2% in Rivne region, 17.18% in Sumy region, 11.89% in Ternopil region, 15.47% in Kharkiv region, 15.55% in Khmelnytsky region, 20.05% in Cherkasy region, 9.94% in Chernivtsi region, 17.11% in Chernihiv region and 15.52% in Kyiv.

The highest turnout of 21.62% has been recorded in the Kirovohrad region and the lowest has been in Zakarpattia region (7.95%), Chernivtsi region (9.94%) and Ivano-Frankivsk region (10.07%).

Ukraine is holding the first round of its presidential election on Sunday. The polling stations will close at 20:00. A record-large number of candidates-39-are running in this presidential election.
