Batkivschyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko, Civil Position Party leader Anatoliy Hrytsenko and incumbent President Petro Poroshenko are currently leading presidential candidates, according to a survey conducted by the Social Monitoring Center and the Oleksandr Yaramenko Ukrainian Institute for Sociological Research.

According to the results of the poll presented in Kyiv on Thursday, if the elections were held next Sunday, 18% of Ukrainians who are ready to vote and have chosen a candidate (13% of all respondents) would cast ballots for Tymoshenko.

Some 10.4% of those polled who are planning to go to the elections and have chosen a candidate (7.5% among all respondents) are ready to vote for Hrytsenko, followed by Poroshenko - 9.9% (7.1%), For Life Party leader Vadym Rabinovych - 8.8% (6.4%) and musician and social activist Svyatoslav Vakarchuk - 8.7% (6.3%).

Some 13.7% of respondents found it difficult to express their electoral preferences, and 12.7% said they would not vote in the presidential election.

The survey was conducted by a personal interview method on September 11-18, 2018. Some 2,007 people aged over 18 in the 24 regions of the country took part. The sampling error is 1.34%-2.24%.
