European, Euro-Atlantic integration remain priority for us – Parubiy

Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andriy Parubiy has said that it is necessary to adopt a law on Ukraine's national security, which is key to Ukraine's European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

"Integration and preparation for joining NATO and accession to the EU remain priorities for us. I would like to mention the draft law on national security of Ukraine as one of the key ones in the direction of joining NATO," Parubiy said in a joint briefing with Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman in Kyiv on Monday.

According to the chairman of the Ukrainian parliament, this law "is reforming Ukraine's security system, but it is also necessary for integration into NATO, since it brings Ukraine's security system to EU standards and to NATO standards."

According to him, several meetings were held with Groysman about what laws should be adopted to fulfill Ukraine's obligations under the Association Agreement with the EU, during which it was decided to put them at the beginning of each session of the parliament as priority ones.

"In particular, this week's session begins with the laws necessary for European integration - the draft law on limited liability companies and the draft law on the capital market and regulated markets. And we are demonstrating a joint approach, joint development and preparation for voting," Parubiy said.
