Kyiv to hold talks with Germany, France on visa-free regime in near future – Yeliseyev

The Presidential Administration of Ukraine in the near future intends to hold telephone talks with representatives of Germany and France for the provision of a visa-free regime with the European Union to Ukrainians, Deputy Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Administration Kostiantyn Yeliseyev has said.

"I do not exclude that in the near future we will hold in-depth consultations with the French and the German side. Tomorrow I will hold telephone talks with my colleagues - diplomatic advisers of President Hollande [French President Francois Hollande] and the Chancellor of Germany [German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel], where we will also talk about it," he said on the air of 112.Ukraina TV channel on Thursday.

Yeliseyev said that after the EU-Ukraine summit he looks more optimistic on granting visa-free regime to Ukraine as a "tough stance" of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during the summit had to influence the EU leaders on the need of their part to fulfill obligations.

"We will continue working and will do everything possible to ensure at least the legal decision in the nearest future," the deputy head of the presidential administration said.
