Investigation in fire at oil depot outside Kyiv almost over, cost of damages being defined

An investigation into the causes of the fire at an oil depot belonging to BRSM-Nafta is almost over, the cost of damages is being defined, Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov has said.
"The investigation is virtually over… One remaining issue is the cost of damages," he said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.
As was reported, BRSM-Nafta's oil depot located in the village of Kriachky in Vasylkivsky district in Kyiv region caught fire on June 8, 2015. Six people died because of the incident, 15 were injured. Containers with fuel had been burning for almost three days. On June 13, the fire resumed after a hermetically sealed fuel tank with a capacity of 900 cubic meters busted open, causing a fuel leak followed by a fire outbreak at an adjacent fuel reservoir. On June 16, the fuel was burnt out and the fire went out.
As of the evening of June 22, BRSM-Nafta completed pumping out the remaining fuel from the destroyed tanks to the ones that were not damaged.
It was announced on May 24, 2016, that the Ukrainian National Police's main investigation department completed a pre-trial investigation of the fire at the oil depot outside Kyiv.
