PSG unbeaten with classy win at Shakhtar

Serge Aurier had a Champions League debut on Wednesday, scoring one goal and setting up another to help PSG win 3:0 at Shakhtar Donetsk.

Aurier headed PSG's opener in the seventh minute, and the Ivory Coast right-back sent in a corner kick for David Luiz to make it 2:0.

PSG sealed victory when Zlatan Ibrahimovic unleashed a shot that ricocheted off the Shakhtar captain, Darijo Srna, and flew into the net in the 90th minute.

The French club made it two wins from as many games to share the lead at the top of Group A on six points with Real Madrid, who won 2:0 at Malmo with two goals from Cristiano Ronaldo.

PSG's Blaise Matuidi said: "We started well. Shakhtar pushed hard in the second half. We knew it would be a tough game. We were far from perfect, but finally, we win 3:0 and take six points in two games."

For Shakhtar, Alex Teixeira set up a succession of promising chances three minutes before the interval but PSG defenders managed to block all the shots with defender Oleksandr Kucher blazing the last one over the crossbar.

Shakhtar's second straight loss leaves them with Malmo on zero points at the bottom of the group.

The Parisians extended their unbeaten run to 18 games in all competitions since April's loss to Barcelona in last season's quarter-finals.
