Overnight salvoes and gunfire reported in Donetsk

No fighting was reported in Donetsk on Thursday morning, but the situation remained tense in the city and vehicles carrying armed people dressed in camouflage could be seen on its streets, the city administration said in a press release.

Local residents reported overnight salvoes fired from heavy weapons presumably in the area surrounding the city's airport and Tekstylschyk district. People living in Donetsk's Kalyninsky and Leninsky district claim to have heard gunfire last night.

A privately owned house was partially destroyed by a shell in the city's Adam Mickiewicz Street on Wednesday evening.

Gas supplies have been disrupted to 2,357 households over the past 24 hours due to continuing fighting in Donetsk.
