Parliament to hold its last meeting on December 4 if government does not submit draft budget for 2013

The Verkhovna Rada of the sixth convocation will hold its last plenary meeting on December 4, 2012 if the government does not submit the draft state budget for 2013.

"A plenary meeting will be held on December 4. If the draft budget is not submitted, it will be the last session of the Verkhovna Rada of the current convocation," Verkhovna Rada Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn said at a meeting of the Ukrainian parliament on Tuesday.

"If the draft budget is submitted, then we will work throughout the week until December 7," he added.

At a meeting on Tuesday, MPs also introduced amendments to the schedule of its work this week. According to a respective resolution, the plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada on November 20 will continue until the consideration of all issues put on the agenda is completed, and on November 21-23, MPs will work in committees and factions. The next plenary meeting will be held on December 4.
