Kyiv subway to work half an hour more on night of October 16-17

The Kyiv subway on the night of October 16 to October 17 will work thirty minutes longer because of the football match between the national teams of Ukraine and Montenegro, which is to take place at Olympiysky National Sports Complex.

According to the press service of the Kyiv subway, from 2000 to 2100 Olympiyska metro station will be closed for entry and exit, and Palats Sportu (Sports Palace) metro station will be closed for exit. During that time trains will not stop at the Olympiyska station.

Moreover, because of the growth of the passenger flow from 1900 on October 16, the number of trains will be increased on the Sviatoshynsko-Brovarska and Kurenivsko-Chervonoarmiyska metro lines, and from 2030 on the Syretsko-Pecherska metro line.

Staff numbers at the Palats Sportu, Ploscha Lva Tolstoho and Olympiyska subway stations will be increased.

If after the end of the football match the passenger flow exceeds regulations, entrance to the Palats Sportu, Olympiyska, and Ploscha Lva Tolstoho stations could be restricted.
