Zelenskyy presents state awards to energy workers
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday, December 22, presented state awards to Ukrainian energy workers.
"There is not a single power plant in Ukraine today that has not been damaged by Russian strikes. And every functioning Ukrainian energy facility, every operating part of our energy grid, is what thousands of our energy sector workers have been able to protect, restore, and build," Zelenskyy wrote on the Telegram channel.
He also thanked Ukrainian energy companies that provide and restore light and heat for millions of Ukrainians, repair crews and everyone who works to ensure the operation of Ukraine's energy system.
"And most importantly, you are proving – not only for Ukraine, but for the entire world – what Ukrainian character truly is and who Ukrainians are. Ukrainians will never accept loss and destruction. Ukrainians always restore what the Russians have destroyed. Ukraine cannot be broken thanks to people like you – who work for the sake of Ukraine, for the sake of life in Ukraine, and for the sake of our people. Thank you," the president concluded.
