Volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) Rapid Response Units were working to eliminate the consequences of the Russian air strike on Zaporizhia and the shelling of Mykolayivka (Donetsk region) on Thursday.

“An airstrike on Zaporizhia resulted in a direct hit on residential buildings. The Ukrainian Red Cross emergency response team in Zaporizhia region was involved in mitigating the consequences of the attack,” URCS said on Facebook.

Volunteers provided first aid at the scene and evacuated six victims to medical facilities.

As reported, as a result of an airstrike on Zaporizhia on November 7, nine people were killed and 42 were injured.

Volunteers from the Kramatorsk branch of the Donetsk regional emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross were working at the scene. They provided first aid to nine victims. The Ukrainian Red Cross team also set up an aid station to help people whose homes had been destroyed. Those affected were provided with humanitarian aid.

According to the Donetsk Regional Police, as a result of the shelling of Mykolayivka, two people were killed and eight were injured. According to the National Police of Ukraine, the bombardment damaged at least five apartment buildings and four cars.
