AFU General Staff reports almost 100 clashes at frontline; enemy becomes more active in Kharkiv axis
As of 16:00 Wednesday, some 99 military clashes were recorded on the frontline, the enemy is most active in Pokrovsk, Toretsk and Kharkiv directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) said.
In Kharkiv direction, the enemy attacks with the support of aviation, carrying out six airstrikes with guided bombs. From the beginning of the day, the number of clashes increased to 15. The enemy concentrated its efforts in the areas of Hlyboke and Vovchansk, attacking in small groups, up to a motorized rifle squad. There is currently one battle going on near Hlyboke, the Defense Forces have stopped the remaining attacks. The occupiers' losses are being clarified.
In Kupiansk direction, the enemy increased the intensity of assault operations, attacking the positions of Ukrainian units eight times, in particular, near Synkivka, Andriivka and Stelmakhivka. Near the latter, fighting is still ongoing in two locations. The occupiers fired unguided missiles from aircraft at Synkivka.
Since the beginning of the day, six enemy assault actions have been recorded in Lyman direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully repelled three of them. Clashes continue near Torske and Makiivka.
In Siversk direction, the enemy continues to try to improve the tactical position nearby Spirne, Vyimka, Fedorivka and Verkhniokamianske. The number of clashes today has increased to five. The Ukrainian military repelled two enemy attacks, three are still ongoing. The occupiers dropped a controlled aerial bomb in Dobropillia area.
In Kramatorsk direction, the occupiers stormed Chasiv Yar with the support of aviation, in particular, they used three UABs in the town. Ukrainian defense forces repelled two assaults near Andriivka and Novomarkove.
In Toretsk direction, the number of enemy attacks has increased to 17. The enemy is concentrating its main efforts towards Pivnichne and New York. There are battles going on. The occupiers carried out three air strikes on Toretsk and Pivnichne.
In Pokrovsk direction, some 21 clashes were recorded, four of which are still ongoing near Novooleksandrivka and Karlivka. The enemy fired unguided aircraft missiles at the areas of Oleksandropole and Umansky. Fighting continues in two locations near Krasnohorivka.
In Kurakhove direction, the enemy attacked in the areas of Heorhiivka and Paraskoviivka. According to updated information, 12 attacks by the occupying army have been recorded in this direction today.
In Vremivka direction, the enemy carried out assaults near Kostiantynivka twice. In addition, he hit Katerynivka with six UABs, and twice with unguided aerial missiles in Urozhaine area.
In Orikhiv direction, the enemy carried out eight attacks in the areas of Novodarivka, Mala Tokmachka and Novoandriivka. The enemy also fired about 100 unguided aerial missiles in the directions of Huliai-Pole, Lobkove, Rivnopilia, Kamianske and Piatykhatky.
In Prydniprovsk direction, the invaders twice unsuccessfully tried to oust Ukrainian soldiers from their positions on the left bank of Dnipro.
