The latest stage of Ukraine-EU-Russia talks on gas at the expert level has concluded in Brussels and the further talks are expected at the ministerial level, Naftogaz Ukrainy Chief Commercial Officer Yuriy Vitrenko has said.

"The three-party consultations at the expert level have been completed. European laws that must be applied to gas transit and to various supply and demand scenarios on the European gas market (that have an effect on transit volumes through Ukraine) were discussed. Now we are waiting for three-party negotiations at the ministerial level," Vitrenko said on his Facebook page on Wednesday.

Vitrenko previously said the three-party consultations had not produced any results so far and seemed more like "lectures for the Russians," adding that Russia was simply "playing for time."
