Ukraine would like to switch from receiving loans to grant assistance
Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze has said that Ukraine is interested in receiving irrevocable grant assistance from international partners, not loans.
"We would like not to receive loans as assistance. We put on the issue of irrevocable grant assistance on the agenda in some spheres where we can speak about possible common money spending supervision tools," she said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
She said that the issue of Ukraine's need in loans strongly depends on successes in the country's economy. She said that the macrofinancial assistance program from the EU expires on January 4, 2018, but it is too early to speak about the new similar program.
