Ukraine calls on Western partners to boost supply of weapons to Ukraine, lift restrictions on their use – Kostin

Ukraine calls on Western partners to strengthen the supply of weapons to the Armed Forces and lift restrictions on their use, which will prevent new crimes by the Russian Federation, said Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin.

"The world should not tolerate such acts of terror. Supporting Ukraine does not mean fighting in our place. We are determined to stop a terrorist state. To do this, we need weapons and the lifting of restrictions on their use to protect our citizens. I call on all our partners to help lift these restrictions, which will allow us to prevent new crimes of the aggressor," according to the Telegram channel of the Prosecutor General's Office.

Kostin noted that the Epicenter shopping center in Kharkiv, which was shelled by the Russian army on Saturday, is a civilian facility, "which was visited by many civilians on weekends."

According to him, a pretrial investigation has been launched into the fact of the airstrike under the article of violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with premeditated murder (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

"Prosecutors continue to work on the site of yet another Russian terror against civilians," the prosecutor general said.

As reported, according to preliminary data, a hit to a construction hypermarket was recorded in Kharkiv, city mayor Ihor Terekhov said.
