URCS evacuates population from communities in Kharkiv region that under fire from Russian army
Volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) of Kharkiv region are evacuating the population from communities under constant fire from the Russian Federation army.
"The rapid response team of the Kharkiv regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society has been working since the first hours of the complicated security situation in Kharkiv region. Local residents are being evacuated from the settlements of the region, which are as close as possible to the hostilities that unfolded there and are subject to constant shelling," the URCS reported on Facebook.
Over two days, URCS volunteers evacuated more than 40 people.
The URCS is carrying out the evacuation together with the Coordinating Humanitarian Headquarters Roads of Ukraine, the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration and the region's rescue services.
Currently, crews of volunteers from the Kharkiv Rapid Response Team of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society continue to provide necessary assistance to people in communities that are under fire from the Russian army.
