French President Emmanuel Macron is postponing his visit to Ukraine because he wants to arrive with more tangible results to help Ukraine, Politico reports.

Earlier on Sunday, the Elysee Palace announced that Macron's visit to Ukraine would take place in "the next few weeks," clarifying that this was related to security issues.

Politico, citing a representative of French diplomacy, reports that the reason for the postponement was Macron's desire to get additional time for negotiations with allies and arrive in Ukraine with tangible results.

"A bit of time is needed to conclude the different coalitions and their operational commitments with our partners," said the diplomat.
